(Feeling) Weary

The world, weighted
and burdensome
rests on her shoulders,
her back, her heart.

Knees bowed, bent,
broken, withered from
centuries of toil,
of disrespect, of
uncaring, unfeeling,
unwavering disdain.

Weary, wary, wrecked
she wishes change
into Being, man vs. bear
it’s always the bear
because trust is false,
fleeting, far-fetched.

If only the Goddesses
were still revered but
no, the world worships
Gods and women are
discarded, destroyed,
denied, and defamed.

Sky Goddesses

The Moon, in her
milky pearl gown with
silver tresses cascading
down her regal back
dances across the
night sky, attended by
a court of stars.

The Sun, often
mistaken for a god,
glows brightly in her
fiery garments,
brilliant radiance and
heat streaming to
bless her planets.

The two Sky
Goddesses, sisters
of the Universe,
rule over the
heavens and the
Earth, gracing us
with their light.

Portals 4: Water

You are sixty
percent water.
Rivers flow
through you.
Vast oceans
ebb and rise
within you.

Submerge yourself.
Feel the silence
as water
presses on you,
surrounding you,
cleansing you,
enchanting you.

Water is a
portal. Life is
what you find.
Embrace yourself.
Invite compassion.
Let water
wash away
your pain.
